One with my mate for my old mate

Grandfather died this week top man, proper kiwi bloke Shepard light house keeper ranger prison officer then retired . I owe him a lot because the outdoors skipped a generation but he made sure he tried again with me short and sweet iv watched all week for a venison in his honour and finally me and his great grandson got an opportunity no glory storey here we shot it from the house it is how ever Bank’s first deer he’s come for the recovery so it was pretty cool. Excuse his Beatles hair style it’s the best compromise we can come up with.

A haircut will not define the man, but grandad hunting with him in honor of great great grandad sure will. Well done.

    Good on you Keaton.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

    Greetings @Kelton,
The photo and retelling of the story will keep your grandfathers memory alive for the young chap. My last two great grandmothers and two of my grandparents died when I was to young to remember them clearly or at all for some of them. Only the photos and the family history recorded by my parents plus what I can glean from the internet remains. They all seem to have led interesting lives and it would be nice to know more.
    Regards Grandpamac.

    Hi Kelton
I worked with Kerry's wife for 10 years in Wanganui and knew Kerry well. He was a top guy and enjoyed many a chat with him over the years. I heard of his passing the day after the send off, a bit disappointed really. Will catch up with D in the the next couple of weeks. Pleased he has passed on his love of the outdoors on, and that his grandkids will always understand the value of being out there! Condolences and our best wishes to you and your family, we are thinking of you all!
