I think I may have miscalculated. On the left is my new firewood pile that is being loaded with wood from trees being removed. On the right is my wood shed currently 90% full. There is more dry wood in the barn. There are a lot of trees to remove. Can you see the problem?

    Greetings,
Yes the fire is burning as I type this. We have two fireplaces (one with a wet back) in a small well insulated house that gets the sun all day. Recently installed double glazing should reduce demand. My problem is that I like cutting firewood and have become a little OCD about stacking it. With around 1.5 Ha of trees supply is never going to be a problem. Talking to someone in a similar position some years back they said they just cut up whatever fell down. If only it was that simple.
    Regards Grandpamac.
