    Opotiki Pics

I spent a whole week based at Opotiki for a bit of RnR and some walking around the hills. I've spent a fair bit of time here now and finding the deer is proving a real challenge due to some really rough bush and private access issues. There are easier places to poke around closer to home but I always like a challenge. The amount of pig sign around is ridiculous. Getting closer now every time with 2 deer spotted in the safety of private property from DoC land. Slowly building up knowledge and confidence in the area.

    Bloody Ongaonga
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    Onga's a real bitch @Rusky

looks like you only got small a taste of what it can do.

My old man had some dogs killed by it once.

It's at its most potent during February so watch out.

Keep it up Rusky, if your seeing them your only one step away from shooting them.

    Cheers
    Pete

I have a NZ passport, does that count?

It took 2 days for the numbness to stop. That pic was taken 1 minute after I lost the battle.

Now that it has got you, it will be everywhere that you reach out to when you lose your balance jumping across a creek or stream.

Easiest way to get hook grass off hairy bits is just use a comb. Painless and quick.

Lost a dammed good stag rolled into a gut full of nettle once. 10ft high and impenetrable.

I hope not kawekakid. There are 2 deer in the 3rd an 4th pic though.

Woody that would be so disheartning to be in that position.
