Well been on my bucket list for thirty years ,took the KTM 450 in couldn't get to hut beaten by snow so parked up and legged it for a couple of k,s very cold and barren seen a couple of chamois ,mate shot a pig . Enjoyable but came out thinking I'm getting old bike riding with large pack was hard going took a good spill on ice sheet thank fuck I had helmet on thirty years ago I wouldn't have . Seen good selection of critters ,bucket list ticked but think I'm more of a Hunter Hills man at 52 .

Any budget for a 250cc four stroke, or 150cc two stroke? KTM 450 is good bike, like Yamaha WR450, comes to tough terrains, trails with short & steep turns & climb, 250cc is better as my experience because it can reach max outputs faster than bigger engines.
