You may have been lucky but dont sell yourself short, If I read it right you picked the spot to fly into, and hunted that stag on your own with a mate on the radio and thats what good hunting mates do for each other.

Yeah mate you're spot on, the whole idea of the trip was to not just be a "shoot the shit out'a everything" but locate a decent animal & then come up with a plan of attack.
Adam put in effort, shot well & then put in the hard yards to retrieve, was well earned & while I call him a "tin arse" that's tongue"n"cheek as he did bloody well & sometimes things just come together & work
