    Quick Solo fly camp

Walked into spot x late Friday arvo. It was bloody cold and nothing was seen Friday night. Blew and rained that night, but I was more than comfy under the good old huntec bivvy.

Had the alarm set early enough to allow for a hot coffee and enough time to get to my morning hot spot and set up ready to glass before first light. Watching a face 450 yards away, when I spot a young stag at only 240 yds in the half light. He looked tasty so decided he'd do.

The bastard wasn't playing the game with presenting me a shot tho, he wouldn't even turn around for my little moaning roars. Then when he did move he moved in behind some scrub and appeared to be about to feed back into the bush.

Didn't have time to adjust the camera to Centre him in the frame, managed to get a look at the base of his neck so touched off the shot, to which he poleaxed into the scrub.

    Here's a short video.

Great stuff, your right he just wouldn't turn for you. Good that you spotted an opportunity and that dropped him like a sack of spuds. He'll be good eating .

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Yeah I've had a cock up or two as well, like setting camera up behind me, but it wasn't high enough so when I lay down behind rifle for the shot, I blocked the cameras view, rookie.
