@199p @Pop Shot. Yeah, they go low. When you leave the car zig zag your way up the track until you are on the track above the Mangawairiki stream (sp?). At a big beech tree right on the track, turn left and drop towards the stream (you might even find a track ). Go down to the stream and cross it. Then climb/sidle. You are now on the faces above Clifton's farm (don't drop too low or you will be trespassing). It's on these faces that the deer seem to winter. Especially when the WX is shit.
