Nice one, its a great spot. I normally head up there for a few spring missions when the wind isn't too bad.

    Mate I love that spot.
I’ve heard great things about the EXO packs too. I can’t believe how often gear comes up that I ‘need’ to have!

Top spots are top spots. Was always good up there in the 70's and 80's

@199p have a look at this video with Steve Speck from Exo. https://youtu.be/r6dqF8aNkzs?si=zRjSGz73lID8ofBF

He stuffs in the quilt, puffer, clothes etc in the bottom and doesn't use compression bags. Makes for a really well balanced, efficient carry. I've got the Dry Bag (well worth the investment at point of purchase) insert. Means I can pack this way, and be 100% waterproof. Be cool to see the K4 in the flesh!

Are these really worth $1,600? What do you think?

Value is in the eye of the beholder, but it seems hard to justify when you can get one of these for half as much.

I have been using one of these for 5 years and cant fault it.

Will cheek it out man cheers, I dont think it looks all that different packs but the way it holds the load on your hips is like nothing else i have tried.

So far 100% Tahr, easy to say when it costs so much but fully believe it. Especially on the way down as its started to shape to my body.

Normally takes me a few days to recover with my lower back problems and i end up having to carry the weight on my shoulders causing problems with my upper back straps. I'm going to get the rifle carrier as the sling caused some stiffness in my shoulder, never noticed it before but that's because more bits normally hurt more.

They made the short list for sure but i think i would end up having the same problem and wanted to go to a frame style pack.

The exo isn't Ultralite but the way it carries you wouldn't know it.
I am no exo salesman wish I was tho

For those that don't know this is my back.
    Spat out 2 disks
One 11mm and the other 4mm pushing deep into my spinal cord
    plus i cracked a vertebrae

Joys of stockcars, still dumb enough to race just part-time these days.
