However what are the deer numbers like now say from Lake Colenso through to Ruahine Corner hut

Plenty of animals near Ruahine Corner even though its had a couple of 1080 drops in recent years. They would come in from the nearby private land .
Last time i was at lake colenso would have been ten years ago and we found it a bit lean on animal numbers but there had been some WARO going on we found out later.
