Thread: Robbed

So it was such a nice day in the Manawatu this arvo, so I had some lunch & decided to stretch the legs & go for a walk in an area that I go to every now & again, In this spot there are Deer but the story goes that if you see a Deer you're lucky if you bowl one you've hit the jackpot ! But its a good loop to walk & close to town

So I got my shit sorted, jumped in the car & off I went, once there I parked up then toddled off down the hill, during my armed tramp I got to a neat little spot & sat down, pulled out me binos & had just started glassing the basin when my bloody phone starts barkin, bugger I'd forgotten to turn it off, so I reply to the txt & turn it off ( gees the old boys would roll in their graves with the shit we carry in the hills now days )

Oh well I thought & continued to follow gravity, two minutes later & all I see is the arse end of a red skin bolting down through the shrubbery "Ah shit !" so I go another ten yards & consider my options, I can hear the buggars russly around & then FYM she decides to head back up the hill towards me Oh yes I think to myself the Deer gods are smiling on old Philipo today, I raise the might Ruger, start getting all excited while nearly coming in me pants & prepare to give the cnuts a taste of the mighty 44.

Here she comes about 30-40yards to my left trotting up the hill through the ferns I swing into the shot get a bead on her shoulder & POMFAR ( a suppressed 44 doesn't go Boomfa, its more subtle than that ) however as I fire a small thought goes threw my head shit I hope that Ponga never got in the way

In a hail of hooves a the Hind with a yearling in tow take the fuck off in a big hurry & all I hear is them saying Bye bye sucker, I chase em down the hill but to no avail, nothing WTF, I go back to do some CSI work & shit no sign of a hit, fuck a 225grainer should have flattened the bitch, I go back & reconstruct the crime & oh wait whats this big friggen hole in this Ponga, Ar shit X 20 I had managed to hit the biggest bloody Ponga in the whole friggen forest " dead center !"

So it looks like the Deer gods were just yankin poor old Philipo's chain & takin the piss, I never got a photo of the Culprit but hes an artist's impression
