    Solid timber nice shape

What are the tines after the brow tines? Bez? Is it normal for stags to lack them?

Yea the bez were short on this stag, got a nice 12 near there a couple of years ago and he also had short bez. The angle of this photo doesnt show them that well either.

Went up this morning no cars when we arrived but 3 vehicles at the carpark when we came out, it was very windy this morning and nothing seen or heard, the little deer dog was keen a number of times but the swirling wind etc made it hard going, but got into some nice bush and had a good mooch about.

7 At Tamaki today only 3 at Kumeti nice stag well done.

We got chased by a stag, heard the first call when we were up a ridge coming from the river bed below so I replied.

Then we decended and crossed over another side of the stream and heard another roar, replied again

This really confused the said stag as it got closer,by this time we were nearing the carpark and a final roar came from the flats across the stream,so I answered again

We left the roaring stag in the bush and buggered off home, its vehicle that was in the carpark was a mercedes
