    Ruahine Tops Hunting

Evening everyone. Me and a good mate got away at the start of the week for a mission into the Ruahine tops. Unfortunately I lost my go-pro with a lot of footage on it during the hunt but I have managed to piece this together. Hope you enjoy 👍🏻

I enjoyed your video, thanks for posting. It’s always cool to watch deer do their thing.

That's a shame about loosing your go pro. Video was cool with the footage you managed to put together. Cheers for posting. Definitely a place I want to visit when North at some stage for a hunt.

Great looking area , pretty vast alright, you don't need to shoot an animal every trip to make it successful, yeh a real shame about the Go Pro.

Why do you say at the end it was a shame about the lack of deer seen on the tops? It looked like you seen a few? Good looking trip.

Only one of them we saw on the tops. The rest were below the bushline. Disappointing when you set hopes for hunting deer on the tops. That does not at all mean the trip was a disappointment. You can’t shoot deer and see them everywhere every time as we all know. A great trip in an awesome piece of country. Half the hunt for me in places like this is just being there and the adventure. Thanks for all the comments.

    That was a terrible video

Made me realise what I’m missing out on at the moment.

Shame about the GoPro, you got some good footage regardless.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Still a good vid considering you lost most of it on your Gopro, its great country up there that in my opinion is best from now on till winter for seeing deer right up in the tussock
    Cheers for posting
