    Shooting more than hunting...

But still a good evening out and a good stretch of the legs. When numbers are getting up there comes a time when you have to knock some over to keep the cocky happy.

The 300saum and 168 NBT's sure can sock it to them (255 yards).

Where did the one shot for three deer idea come from?? I didn't say that.

    One shot each.

It's his second deer in less than a week, he got his first one down Waioeka last weekend.

3 deer with one shot is simply too much.
I didn't say 3 deer with one shot. One shot each.

Tilly rounded them up and had them all lined up for you on the track this time...gee she is a wonderful critter.
seriously Im sure you did have to work a little bit to manage to drop all three close to the track...plurry awesome effort to do so.makes up for the bottom of crappy gully in pouring rain midnight carries somewhat. we managed to do it ONCE many years back....good on you bud.

@Micky Duck one rolled down onto the track, one I rolled 20 yards down to the track and the other I dragged and rolled about 100 yards.

Took one out whole and cut 2 up. Got home at 11.30pm, and have dealt to them all this morning and sister in law has collected one boned out deer for a bbq for "sailing for the disabled". So its gone to a good cause.

The irony is that I went for the hunt on my way back from the Back Ridge Butcher in Napier with 50 kg of sausages Only one third was for me though, the rest for friends.
So now I have got a load more of sausage meat to go into the deep freeze. An endless cycle.

Mate I think you have earned the odd easy one or three. Wasn't that long ago you posted a story of covering a good amount of ground for a day hunt with Craig. Enjoy it.

Well done, you are a generous man,I hope the people who receive the meat enjoy it. In those curcumstances you will be shooting more than hunting.
