The irony is that I went for the hunt on my way back from the Back Ridge Butcher in Napier with 50 kg of sausages :) Only one third was for me though, the rest for friends.
So now I have got a load more of sausage meat to go into the deep freeze. An endless cycle.

@Rusky Yeah it was great. They came out of the scrub at about 5pm and ran about 100 yards into the paddock. I had an idea where they were coming out of the scrub and jumping the boundary so was watching for them. Saw them from 700 yards and all I had to do was use the contours of the hills to get 250 yards from them. As I poked my head over a handy ridge they saw me but milled around a bit. Luckily I shot the hind first so the 2 younger ones were confused and they copped it too.Quote:
