Mate,if shot placement is right you dont need ANY ftlbs of energy.... but the 1000ftlbs figure has been bandied about for many years as ethicle limit......makes .222 and the likes only ethical killers out to not much past 50 yards depending on projectile weight and start speed..... drop on spot is either nervous system direct hit,or you have taken out both front wheels.... first doesnt need much energy,just penertration...the 2nd needs both. but you use the mighty .270 so dont have to worry


having said that,on paper the tsx load and hornady HP loads have same energy......sure as shite ARENT the same terminally.
