I've just spent 3 days in the Kawekas' by myself.
Heard 2 x single calls and he-haw. Saw half a dozen including a close encounter with a spiker (still in the velvet) at 10 yards.
Got a bit of meat off the edge of a slip. 300 yard shot with the .270wsm.
The area I was in badly needs rain. The Sika were not coming out of the scrub much, so I had to go in after them.
