Nice description on the layers. How do you take a dump with the onesie base layer? The mountain shelter looks like a good idea if you got stuck out in bad weather.

Those birds must be super hard to spot in that environment.

Nice video. What are the birds like to eat? How do you prepare and cook them?
It’s cool to see you carrying on with your day to day in conditions that would be considered life threatening to the average person from more temperate climates. Not only just carry, but thrive.
In a former life, I was amazed how much complexity proper cold brings to carrying out a given task, be it work or recreation.
Simply working in gloves and mittens, the lost dexterity was such a huge adjustment. Not to mention how limited in function or durability certain items can have at extreme cold.
I never tire of the landscapes in your videos.

They are perhaps the simplest bird to prepare. Fillet the chest, season with preferred spices and give them a fry plus a few minutes in the oven. You want the center to be almost pink/raw, pleasant and sweet game flavour. Overcook it and it's just dry. I serve with a simple sauce and a pea puree plus some onion/ mushrooms.Quote:

For reasons unknown to me, large capacity batteries does unproportionally better than smaller batteries. Forget alkaline and stick to lithium.
