    some more not real hunting

    I headed of to north taranaki for 3 nights to try and shoot some goats for the frezzer and dog food.When i got there stopped and talked to the owner .Then went to the old wool shed were i stay set my camp up and had a cup of tea.I was looking out a window saw a goat on the face on the other side of the creek from the woolshed And the creek was runing high.Grabbed my day bag rifle and dogs headed down to the crossing got across sneaked though the tea tree shot 2 let the dogs bail 1.Two good eaters and some dog food Name:  PA190165.jpg

Size:  1.24 MB Heading back to camp the dogs bailed another 1 back to camp hang the meat up. Then got my tea under way did a lamb roast in a camp ovenon the gas rings with yams and kumera i was really happy how it turned out cold lamb for lunch an tea the next dayName:  PA190168.jpg

Size:  973.5 KB Woke to rain so i had a long relaxing breakfest few cup of teas while reading a book when the rain eased up headed off to a pine block for a hunt dogs bailed a goat on the way to the top good find in the wet more dog food Name:  PA190171.jpg

Size:  1.05 MB back to camp for lunch it finially stoped raining so off for another hunt heading up a farm track to hunt the bush edges the dogs where out in front watched them lift there heads. Then a goat jumped off the bank beside the track my old dog spook grabbed it in mid air by its neck that was the end of it more dog food .Carried on spotted a lone goat on a slip shot it fell to the bottom could not get to it .It was on the other side of a very step sided creek carried on around the bush edge shot another eater delt with that then picked up the 1 spook gotName:  PA200177.jpg

Size:  1.26 MB more dog food headed back to camp delt with the meat had a cup of tea then headed up the road to another part of the farm spyed a couple of handy ones up a gully sneaked up 2 shots 2 more eaters .Woke to rain agian another long relaxing breakfast when the rain stopped headed out for another hunt didnot see or get any thing headed back to camp had a bit of a clean ug skin the goats broke them down and into the chilly bin headed out for another hunt shot another 1 for dog food let the dogs bail another 1 dog food as well .Back to camp fellow backsteak roast yams and kumera and salad for teaName:  PA210180.jpg

Size:  992.3 KBWoke the next morning not raining packed up and headed home it was a good trip even how wet it was dogs and i got plenty of action meat for the frezzer and plenty of dog food
