    Spring is not here yet

Just back from a few nights away. It’s still very much winter in the hills with no growth and snow still on the ground. Spent our time cutting wood and maintaining camps etc. I’m now in the market for a new pair of boots after not keeping an eye on mine drying by the fire. Good times.

Fire, dog, successful hunt.... Tough life!! Still not much grass growth here ground needs a week of sunshine for things to dry out and get going.

Hopefully you can find replacement boots, last person I saw do that that did that had problems

Yes the old "warm or dry the boots by the fire trick"
    A lot ruined that way
Most of us have done it at least once :-)

    The Buller's were the best
They always let you know via a distinctive smell before damage was done

Great to see someone has been out for a hunt and having success. Well done, I can't wait until lambing is over so I can get back out.

Good hunt at least you had success, shame about you boots. Spring is away up here in BOP having to mow the lawns just about weekly and the deer are starting to head to more open areas.

Nice one. Spring has poped its head out in the lower areas. Seen deer out in the grass feeding up . Some other places still have no growth and no sign.
Wont be long now and it be all go for the easy ones

Just got my boot back from the repair shop. Have a new pair on the way. I have a feeling they may not be quite as comfortable around the ankle
