    STAG PARTY GATE CRASHED

Three young lads decided to run out of the scrub at 6am this morning.Chasing each other around like kids opening their xmas presents, all excited with all the spring feed available.
Hmm they had abit of distance on me,around the 300yds mark, but it was raining well n misty. But they didn't know that iv spent abit of time fine tuning my 308 at 200yds zero in the last couple of weeks.
I did a quick final range on them as they moved slowly in my
direction,280yds.Allow a little bit of a drop for the 308.Bang the boy went down.Wasnt to hard really, shooting off the bonnet of the truck just like I do at the range.I couldv let ripp on the other 2 lads. But one was enough to deal within the rain.Fat lad he was, with a nice coat.Lucky it just stop raining as I got to him.

You gotta make it easy in yr early 70s,lols.Seen 4 deer crossing the river about 600yds away at 9pm,big stag walking up my way about 9.15pm,got to 350yds.Stopped and looked hard in my direction and decided to turn left and walked off.Bugger he was a big boy. Most of the night it was raining or drizzling with a strong nor easterly blowing, but a few deer were out feeding in the shit weather.Seen two yearlings 80yds away feeding in the rain. But they were onto me seeing the truck in the rainey black night.
Tahr, Mooseman, Micky Duck and 2 others like this.
