That would be Butterfish, they are only found in NZ ( I believe ) and are an incredible eating fish. There was half a dozen under the Paua in that photo.
Also known as greenbone in this neck of the woods.
Old guys used to catch them on a rod and line with a small hook using sand-hoppers as bait.
