I got up early to go for a walk yesterday.
Here is the view on the way up.
Got to the car park & it was full of trampers cars & 4-5 Wekas, one ran up the track in front of me in the half dark for 5-600 meters.
Here is one I saw much later in the day.
I took the 260imp for a walk.
At under 5.25lbs I found an extremely comfortable to carry on the way up, here it is on the way out.
I finally got up to the tops, so I could drop down into the bush.
It was very dry in there, good old beech forest cornflakes complete with a switching light breeze
That didn't make it great at all for trying to stalk those sneaky little Fallow deer.
Saw a few of these guys, some Bellbirds, Riflemen, Fantails, Bush Robins, even heard some Wood Pigeons overhead along with the usual Keas & Kakas.
I saw some interesting tree roots.
I saw a fair bit of this, looks like his bed in a high vantage point.
Even found some pretty big trees for this area, it must be very well sheltered from the winds.
All in all a really nice walk in the bush, shame the conditions didn't allow any shots to be fired, this time
