    Tahr hunt

This week i found myself not as motivated as i have been in others to smack a good bull over, i had a couple of late starts from the hut, ended up hunting for the pot, the bigger bulls had buggerd off from the nanny groups leaving the youngins to try get there end off - must be very frustrating for them!

I know where abouts you were Smiddy - that area has been getting HAMMERED by the choppers for last couple of years
2nd to last photo, a number of animals were shot out of there and slung out last time I was up there.
Is the lone pine still standing down the valley or has DOC spent $20k to cut it down? LOL
My brother shot a 13.5" beside it a few years back

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

The Tahr numnbers are still good in there, still alot of tahr in that spot 2nd to last, i cleaned 8 out of there and when recovering them the next day we glassed 36 from that spot, according to chopper pilot the S&D is slowing down abit, looks like a good place for a goopd bull anyway, it may get another visit in Novemebr

There is good numbers of meat animals through there - yes - I was more meaning the big boys.
Foot traffic has reduced a bit as there is a land issue down the bottom end, but might be changing very soon
