    Tipping one over...

Neck shot at 350 yards. She never flinched, literally “tipping one over”.

I was very pleased with the new (for me) Sako A7 in 7-08. And extra pleased with the 120 grn NBT.

The ridge that I shot it from is over Brian’s shoulder.

Stuffing her into our packs for the ride home.

That night, Brian got his chance and bowled the second one for the day. A nice yearling. 400 yards across a shitty gully which was quite a treck for the retrieval.

As an aside. When we got back to camp from shooting my deer with the new rifle, I offered Brian a cup of instant caramel late that I had brought with me. He turned it down, saying “ hell no, if I drink that I will probably get this urgent urge to rush into town and buy a Tika 7-08”.

    Absolutely brilliant
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    2 things.
    1) Yeah, they seem ok. Make a hell of a hole.
    2) That’s Brian’s story to tell.

Kudos goes to him for standing by his stance on 7mm-08 and caramel lattes. The guy is a rock

I thought there was only one side to the story.
When I turned in I put my hearing aids beside my bunk and a rat took them during the night.
Bloody things are 2500 each glad they're insured.
Never had anything like that happen before.
