Thread: Today's Effort

Had the alarm set for 4am this morn but was to tired so got up about 7. Some wanker had broken into 2 of the cars parked in the carpark with more broken glass on the other side of the carpark, so 3 or 4 cars broken into, bastards!!!
Started hunting about 9ish, dog indicated off the track about 30 mins in, so snuck down and came across 2 different deer, no luck though. About midday we were sneaking along and spooked a deer, we stayed still and it circled around to figure us out, saw it sneaking in the open, pole-axed it with a neck shot at about 40 yards. Cut em up and started cruising back. Spooked a small fawn about 5 metres away from us on the way back, it tore off from under a crown fern, the dog raced forward so quickly got her back in, then watched it run off. Will have to keep an eye on her next time. Was cool to see the fawn though.
