    Tonight’s, tonight.

This stag came right out into the open quite early tonight. I waited a while to see if anything else was going to come out, but this one got all alert (maybe he caught my wind, it was swirling). I was quite close, so I shot him (.243). I was trying the 80 grn Speer Hot Core.Did the job. 1 1/2 hours for the carry out, over to PNth to drop the meat off at one of my sons, and home to Wellington at 12.30am. Still not in bed yet at 1.30am.

I’m off to the Staes for a couple of weeks for work on Tuesday, so that’s me done for a few weeks.

Well done Tahr and Bon voyage.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Nice work Tahr, good to see you're shooting a few to make up for being out of God's own for a while. Right now I'm on a record streak for days in the city but one week left then my uni exams are done and the Kaimanawa sika herd will be under fire
    Yeah nah bro

Nice going. The deer will appreciate you being in the states for a couple of weeks.

Tilly finding it (not that it took much).
She cast down wind and then cut the scent, and was onto it.

Yeah, great. 218 yds, lung shot at angle and bullet under skin after breaking opposite shoulder. I will post a pic of the bullet. Also took pics of the in and out, but a bit yuck for on here. 95 grain Targex are great, but need to be used with care. They are quite fragile.
