Overkill is still dead.
I'm glad for their sake many outfitters here survived the extended shutdowns and Covid after effects which would be very painful for any business to bear. Even now in this post Covid period some businesses locally are being forced into closure being unable to adapt to the new "normal" of these times. Luckily, worldwide, it's American hunters who, benefitting from a rebounding domestic economy, have the dollars and willingness to travel and do these overseas hunts. Seems it's always American hunters who are the backbone and mainstay of foreign hunting. A lot of game populations worldwide would probably not be in great shape otherwise. And quite a few Kiwi hunters keen to sample the delight of foreign lands hunting benefit from this too from the offerings of this overseas hunting industry. One big downside for Kiwis wanting to book an overseas hunt is that most ( not all but seems a majority ) are cost quoted in USD and at times such as now when our Kiwi $ is weak against the USD it probably puts a number of hunts out of reach. Then factor in inflation pushing up basic hunt costs and it's a double whammy cost wise. Great though for the hunters visiting NZ as our $ is currently cheaper to but but some days I would just love to be an American citizen and have the spending power of their resilient USD.
