Thread: Weekend report

Went for a walk with dad on Friday evening at a spot we checked the week before and thought looked quite good walking in the dog locked up and sure enough a sika yearling bolted for an escape not allowing a shot.
Soon we arrived at our spot and soon as I lifted up the binos I spotted a sika yearling dad got ready for the shot and dispatched it with a shot to the neck .
We made our way over and took all the meat bits off and hunted our way back .
Then the dog locked up again with the wind up our ass a red hind ran in front of us up came the gun and bugger I realised I hadn't clicked the safety off properly as she ran to cover .
We made it back to the truck just on dark .
TheN Sunday I went out with a mate it was a awesome morning weather wise but we only saw one spiker who was let off with a warning shot from my mate.
Dad was out that morning too and shot him self a red stag he had to wait 45 minutes for the shot . When he saw it the fog came in and had to wait it out .

lucky bugger wish my old man was young enough to come on trips with me.
