Thread: well fcuk i think

could see the bottom of freezer which is never good. so went for a walk to a spot that normally has a critter or two . after dragging my self out of bed slightly before the sparrows were farting i got to the car park just before shooting light. 1st thing i see is a bunch of eyes glowing in the head lights . well fcuk i think . . after quietly putting the rifle together i promptly stand on the only stick around. crash crash and woof go the deer
. well fcuk i think again . off up the track i go instead thoughts of a early day gone . after a bit the scrub line well and truly passed and finding a tussock to sit in the glassing begins , theres a heap of deer about. unfortunately all of them were in the private and safe from me .
well fcuk i think . so up sticks and go have a look into a few open bits in the scrub. on a horribly steep face a hind i see . normally id go find another animal but the empty freezer is on my mind. so i watch this hind hopping that a yearling would be tagging along. after watching for a good 30mins theres no sign of a smaller easier animal .
well fcuk i think . after getting my pack sorted i wait for her to stop. did she stop by the nice open patch before the bluffs . no she did not . did she stop on the slip above the bluff... nope . finally she stops about 3m on a kinda bench on the bluffs . side on no wind 203m easy as bang goes the 243 and down she goes. reload and wait as she gets back up.
well fcuk i think so i shoot her again. this will turn out to be a mistake . the less said about getting down the hill and the stuffing round trying to find her the better. But find her i did yay! apart from she's hung up in some trees hanging over the bluff.
well extra fcuk i think. some thoughts are thought and i hunt round for a strong stick i spend 5 mins poking the hind out of her tree. for her to then disappear into the creek below . about now i was thinking that there must be easier ways of filling a freezer.
another period of time goes by, after getting down into the creek and thinking thats gona suck getting out w a deer in my pack i find them .
well fcuk think. id somehow shot two deer. thinking about it the 2nd time she stood up she was in a slightly different spot rather large hinds looking back at where id come down i wasnt getting back up there. regretting my life choice's i whip as much meat of the hinds as i can . at least id brought the 40lt daybag so i got most of it. id come to wish id brought a smaller bag soon. i have bit of a mooch round and find a path heading downstream that didnt look to shit. so off i go . not much to be said about the creek apart from it was shit . 3hrs later i finally make it back to the flats near the car park . puffing away looking round for the deer track to get back to the ute i see 3 deer looking at me . well fuck i think . hind in her tree https://www.facebook.com/757765135/v...ssed&ref=notif
