West Dome (Eyre Mountains)

Went for a little drive while staying in Mossburn.Tryed to get around West dome to sunny faces one afternoon.See if I can see any deer feeding in the late after noon.All I found was locked gates(winter),nice forestry road tho and a monster nissen patrol.
I do know there is a lot of deer around there on farm boundarys.

Next time il take tika down south to a repeated known deer spot.

It's Total BS how this whole area is managed. Years ago the forestry/wilding pines guys got it locked up for "saftey" concerns with hunters being in the same area. In actual fact they where keen on having the hunting to there self.
There is way too many animals in there and not even the occasional pet food operation seems to keep the numbers down to reasonable levels. A real shame as all it produces is scrubbers.

My son n law goes hunting with a few farming mates around the boundrys.The thermals pick up dozens of deer everywhere and they dont have to drive far.Back steak culling.
