Wet Farmers & Dry City Folk

Get a text from @BRADS to come up for a hunt.ETA was at 1500hrs where I met up withe the lads @199p @BRADS and another city bloke called Sean.

We rode the quads out the back before we started our 9.2km hike up the bloody big hills.

Our first stop was here, where we spotted two deer.

One didn't hang around for long but the second one was there long enough for Sean to get the x hairs on her.

The wind was starting to get up a bit.

At 570 yards the decision was made not too take the shot. She was about centre of these next pics.

We carried on up these hills with a storm approaching fast from the South.

It wasn't long before it was on top of us dumping torrential rain and strong gales. We made it to the clearings but the camera was wrapped in two plastic bags by now.

We stayed in this position on the side off the hills with no shelter from the onslaught of this weather.Freezing cold and hpyerthermic conditions. @BRADS and I were wearing shorts and light coats,we were drenched to the skin.

The city slickers had there flash american wet weather gear on so stayed dry and relatively warm.
Talk was made on hill of some gay cuddling to warm the bodies. No one was interested in that idea so the long trek back too base was made.

On arrival the weather had cleared. Brads had dry coat and shirt at base camp and those three proceded in another direction for another hunt.
Emptied about an inch of water out of my hunting boots(gummies)And hadn't even crossed a stream.
I put on a dry sweatshirt and headed South with the heater in the ute cranked up high to warm my frozen body.

This slip that had the sun filtering onto it was my plan.

On my approach I came across some campers with a 3litre empty water bottle.I said hello but they ignored me.Climbing up the slip the heavens opened again so I baled once again.Passed the campers further down the road on my way out and gave them my water, they were grateful as the stream up there was dry.
