    When it all clicks together.

Christmas eve day I had a bit of time up my sleeve and was wanting to just check my actual shooting to my drop chart. So put the 7mm mag and 22-243 and a bit of gear together and headed down to a mates farm. Set up a target and some clay targets on the bank. Back down to 400yds and 5mph of wind fired the first shot and couldn't see it through the scope so fired another, went and had a look and happy happy. Was also good to see how much drift.

    7mm mag

Had a few shots at the clays with the 22-243 and confirmed drops there to.

Boxing day got a call from Shaka he was keen to walk off a bit of christmas dinner and he arrived at my place at 4am the next morning.
We got to spot X and saw a deer on one of the first clearings right on first light, which turned into three deer. Got our shit sorted and with no wind we dailed up for 380yds shot and waited for the buggers to turn side on.

    Shaka add video please......

But a nice bit of Venison for the BBQ to take home.

    Happy new year......

Good shit mate.... You smack one over each - or Shaka just video your shot?

We will have to organise a LR shoot in the early new year!

Hell it was up to its feet after the shot hit it. Where did the bullet strike?

Watch the video. His shot just missed as she spooked at my shot.
    LR shoot sounds good.

I was amazed she got up with two broken shoulders, dead on her feet as we found her about 25yds from where she was shot.

Deer can surprise you at times with their strength aye, especially the Reds.

Bit of grass on that clearing

Amazing how far they can travel I shot a buck a few years back straight through the heart/lungs pullet poped out in 3 places on the other side...deer jumped 2 fences like it hadn't been hit & covered around 300 meters luckly it was on a sweed paddock if it had of gone that far in the scrub wouldn't have found it.
