Chamois in Croatia.
Shot my first chamois on South Island many years ago. This is a somewhat limited opportunity hunt in Europe, but after much effort I was able to go out alone.
Nothing special about this hunt really, just me finally shooting a chamois with a traditional break-open (kipplauf) single shot rifle.
At best, this film is just a different perspective to your domestic hunting.

Well done, I missed the only chamois I shot at with my K95.
laughed like heck with you cleaning barrel to remove snow....havent we all been there at least once??...the taste of gun oil on lips after trying to blow it out isnt pleasant...a wee bit of insulation tape sure would have looked like smart more right about then.

I enjoyed that video as it bought back memories of when I saw my first chamois on the side of the road in the Austrian Alps where I've been captivated by them ever since.
Ironically my two boys (14 & 16) both shot their first chamois earlier on in the past week.
I like how he plans his climbing so if he falls he always lands on his balls. Norway is a tough character.

Yeah, I usually bring tape (you'll see it in the next episode) but simply forgot on this trip. Finding the rifle had lost its zero put a certain stress on me, not knowing the extent of the error until I found the loose screws. Thankfully my pre-firing check (look over the rifle muzzle-bipod-scope-load the round-safety off) caught the plugged barrel.Quote:

Croatia can be quite beautiful. This is not too far from the Velebit national park. Further north, in Slovenia, it is even more beautiful.Quote:
