Also the 6mm Creedmoor will chew a barrel in next to no time if you really get stuck into them. Just that bit too overbore for a high rate of fire. A .223 REM makes a lot more sense.
After spending an improbable amount of time hunting for brass in the grass, I have started to lay a lightweight canvas sheet under the rifle and to the right hand side, for when I spend a fair amount of time shooting prone. And hey presto I don’t lose any cases. I remember going out shooting with a guy in W.A. who carried a small hand held metal detector that he got for prospecting, about the size of a large smartphone. Brilliant! He didn’t lose any brass. Always meant to get one of those.
