Wish my security camera would get pictures like this.

My brother lives in New Jersey today he sent me this picture from his security camera. Look closer to the footpath behind the one in the square, be a few people that wouldn’t mind running into it on the sand dunes of Stuart island.

Yup hunting seasons would keep them that way.
Only pressure for a couple of weekends a year then the rest they are untouchable

Untouchable except by vehicles! The number of roadkill deer is amazing.
I have a couple of photos of mule deer in motel carparks in Banff and Rapid City

Yes, somewhere in my old photo albums I have an elk in a Banff campground. Also have an elk calf photo which was about 1 metre from my car window. Must dig them out one day.

The golf course was full of elk when we were there.

Most of the roadkills we saw were on the highways through Ohio, etc. Multiple pickups and trailers loaded up with carcasses every day.

They’re getting pretty cheeky in the sounds. Check out the sheep ornaments in the back ground. Name: F6359CC9-5C27-488E-8AF3-52B6C685BBBE.jpeg

I’ve got a mate who lives in Stokes Valley and has sent me quite a few photos similar to this. Not security cam picks, but taken out his window of deer wandering around on the street outside his place at night.

My son was working in Wainui and they saw a deer run past their site in broad daylight down the middle of the street , it was being chased by one of the locals with a bow and arrow.

Bit of irony in this one. Taken out the window of the DoC smoko room in St Arnaud a couple of years ago.
