    Wyoming Desert Elk

Got a good tag this year in wyoming. Spent a few days scouting / bow hunting. First day saw 250 elk! Opening morning of rifle season stalked in on a group of 25 cows and the herd bull. Took the shot at 175 yards and dropped the bull on the spot with a 300 WBY MAG.

I dropped off the meat (about 100kgs) to a butcher and got it processed. My Wyoming mate will have it.

My elk tag cost $US650 and a Wyoming deer tag is about $US350.

That’s cool. What’s the indicative sci on that? I’m heading to Canada November and believe I now have an elk tag

Looks to the the complete opposite to Fiordland!
Is it difficult to get in within range with such flat open country?
