    That's bad luck with the rust .. if you cannot find a replacement unit I put a detachable vinyl soft top on one of my 4x4s - worked a treat for shooting out of truck.

    What is average round town and open road fuel consumption for that petrol 6? The diesel prado I had for work was a very thirsty animal - don't think I ever saw better than 20mpg/14L per 100ks.

    Who cares? There is a huge smile when you plant it. Just unfortunate that the VVT engine wakes up beyond the speed limit. Seriously 15L / 100km around town. 12L on open road - its a 5 speed auto, so if you are sensible with it then it goes ok. Get about 600kms out of a tank
