Those diesels came at a fairly pretty premium, and really it wasn't the market they were aimed at I suspect. Most seemed to be urban mummy taxi's - not many ended up out of town (I live semi-rural and the only time I saw them out here was visitors from the smoke).
Re the staked driveshaft UJ's, only a battle if you turn up with the wrong weapon haha. Not user serviceable is a pain in the arse though, more and more are going that way.
