The 2.8 toyota hiace/hilux engine 188 optimistic newton meters of torque @ 2400rpm and below 2000 rpm nothing, I know I had one for ten years, supercharged it which made it drivable.

2008 shagger 343 nm when it new and doesnt need injectors fixing which it will.

2013 colorado 470nm and easily chipped to nearly 600nm, has enough guard clearance to fit chains too
Ride and power is miles better than a shagger, traction control/stability control is much less intrusive and more economical to boot.

If there is a downside to the Colorado it is a slower than normal steering ratio that takes a few minuets to get used to.

Cambo take the rag you stuffed in your mates intake out.

The only rag I stuffed in it VC was the petrol soaked 1 to set it on fire
Turing circle of the Holden is similar to a super tanker as well.

I read you previous post on the power vc
has the later 2.8 Colorado better power and is it better distributed than the 3L 2008 hilux?
and, what about when towing a tandem load of wet firewood rings etc as that would be my heaviest tow load.

    Short answer yes.
My dads one regularly tows diesel fuel tanker trailers into the bush and a 2 tonne boat to the ramp, his is an auto as is his mates chipped hilux and even he (chipped hilux owner)admits there is no comparison, the colorado just eats the hilux(even chipped) for towing grunt, also the hilux seems to have no engine braking at all.

Jakewire I have the exact model of lux you are talking about.
Don't think you could wrong imo,
Very nice to drive and reliable.
Mrs has a 2015 Ranger and apart from the obvious power difference they are very similar.
    Hope this helps you.

yes it was from what I can gather on the net.
I've done a bit of research on the 2013 Colorado before posting, but most, nay all of everything I read was out of Australia , and well, who would believe those buggers.
