Thread: 24 month diesel SUV storage

Don't know about diesels but I believe it's a good idea to change the oil and run it up as in petrol engines i was of the understanding that gas bypassing the rings can turn the oil acidic and when sitting can attack the main and big end bearings!? I have also successfully flushed the brake and clutch fluid in a monaro with hydraulic fluid that sat for 5yrs. Changed for brake/clutch fluid when i got home and never had any leaking issues etc.
