    4x4 bike

What is a good 4x4 bike and how much should I pay Second Hand

Do they fit in the back of a standard ute or will a trailer be required
Is there an advantage over a 4x4 ute
Been looking but it's beyond me whats good and whats not
    Thanks.

If you are still hunting where/how you used to I think you would enjoy it on a quad. It will eliminate all wear and tear in the ute and it will not tax the quad.

Been looking for something as well. What I've found out is Honda is the way to go.
Suzuki would be the next choice.
Anything decent is 2K or more. Don't touch anything that's been on a dairy farm. Frames will have rusted out from the cow shit.
Apparently there's shit loads of bikes that have been traded in and tucked away in containers by the shops down far south. Trying to stop a flood of cheap bikes coming on the market.
Landcorp are dumping heaps of quads and side by sides on Turners to clear at the moment. Typically not cheap though

Not a huge Honda fan. I get they are strong bikes and all that, good for farms. They are not that pleasant to ride. If it was a recreational quad for stooging around and you want to enjoy riding it I would find something with a CVT transmission.

Very hard to fault the Honda trx350 manuals, nearly bulletproof. When the old man worked at Southland Honda he said by far these were the most reliable and had the least repairs over any other. Will fit on standard well side. Don't buy one that's been on a dairy farm and give the frame a really good look over on any bike ya check. Wheel beatings and worn a arm bearings are common on older bikes so check them too.

Foreman 450 is where it’s at. Always felt the 350s wee underpowered. Problem is age of bike for getting parts...
