    Aircon specialists in Christchurch

I might need a compressor change on my older 2012 Ranger as I don't think anybody up here in Nelson can fit me in before we hit the road on Thursday.

So any recommendations in Christchurch / Rolleston since we usually stay out at Weedon's Rd. I would be looking to phone ahead and book it in.

Just waiting to hear back from the place up here but I doubt they could do it tomorrow.

Steve at Unicool is the guy to see in chch.
But hard to get in to him. He's very booked up.

We also use Gavin at Riccarton Auto Electrical and Burnside Radiators when we have to.

a 2012 ranger will be using r134a and yes, this has gone up 10x in price since I bought my first jug in 2015. The other refrigerant currently used in passenger auto is r1234yf which is very much a late model euro spec gas - it entered the market insanely expensive about 5 years ago and has dropped some what to just being 'stupidly' expensive.

My little run about is a suzuki swift and has a stuffed clutch on the compressor. Last warrant I asked how much to get it fixed and the estimate was $900ish. The re-gas was $400 ish.

Jut putting a thumbs up for Riccarton Auto Electrical - super fast and good work on chasing a wiring fault and fixing it.

Just picked it up new condenser, new compressor, new fan hub plus lots of other bits. Ended up using Jason at Springston Auto fantastic service at such short notice. Would highly recommend
