Bait board and under floor fuel tank.

Gonna build both for my wee Fryan 450 would appreaciate any hints/tips things to avoid and pictures of baitboard/rod holder/towpoint designs you have on your or your mates boat that just work.

Underfloor to get some weight forard and lower while gaining some useful space under transom where totes are now.

Bait board gonna be 800 wide have at least 4 rod holders on it and have a tow point for dredge/biscuit etc.

Make it easy to remove (bait board) so when you are fighting that big Kingy you can move it out of the way. Also lip round the front and decent sized drain tubs over that back

Its removable now and it sucks balls, will be welded down solid...if I cant lift my rod over it I will give up fishing and go to church instead.

As for the drain I was thinking of either doing that or putting a drawer under the bait board for tackel and shit or somehow doing both but if hosing of board not sure how you would keep contents of drawer dry.

This is what Iv got at the mo.

I should be able to get 60l easy in here.

    Current bait board setup.

I want that front edge more aft by the front edge of the transom....small boat maximise fishing room.

Tow point would want to be maybe 100mm higher to clear motor in steep chop while dredging.
Obviously I need to clear the motor at full up too.

Im thinking if I have good width (800) I wont need much depth 350?

It'l just get full of shit and water when cleaning i reckon. Jigs are like pens so can stack in a tube easy enough. If you mount solid down will you box it in or have it open underneath?

Yea that was my thoughts too...have seen the draws on tv/utube but never in the flesh.

Was thinking probably box it in similar to above but better positioned bigger and more sturdy so could bleed a fish on/into it.?

I like but I dont like.

I like the tidy simple design but I dont like I cant see the motor for tight manouvering.

I have put a bit of thought into a livey tank of late......havent sold myself on the idea yet, down here I have never caught anything on a live bait and when the fuckers are around I cant catch a thing because they are eating all my burly.

Also as much as practical I want to get weight forad away from the transom.
