That would only work if mostly open road Km ....older autos suck for economy.

The Safari was pretty economical. Probably about 2/3 the fuel consumption of the manual Bighorn. I know people with heavy feet that get substantially better economy from their auto Bighorns than I do from my manual. A lot depends on how heavy the drivers right foot is.
