    carpet on bonnet of trucks

    got a 96 hilux surf that i was thinking about putting carpet on the bonnet, partly to hide the classic paint fade but mainly for resting bipods and that kinda stuff on without scratching it all up. anyone done the same to their vehicle and got some pictures? wanting a rough idea of what it would look like, also what kind of glue? is used to stick the carpet down, can it be easily taken of? does the carpet eventually fall apart from rain/mud etc? thanks for any answers
