    Cascade river

Got a big week planned in there for november, mainly a trout fishing expedition but also plan on side swipping a deer or two....

Plan is to put the boat in there and use it as a fishing/hunting sorta transport/platform for the week and setup a decent basecamp in the lower reaches somewhere...

Has anyone had a boat in there before? If so, what was it like? How did you fare on access into the river itself?

Mate you can only get up a wee way to woodhen creek in the JB. Not bad hunting and fishing around and on from there but.
Its my old back yard. I could probably draw deer on a map where you would see them.
I spent a couple hrs with you talking shit the other night I could have showed you then.
Bluenose is on order tho eh?
Cheap info at twice the price.

You may need to arrange access tru the locked gate to put your boat in.
If you get stuck i can sort it for you for more bluenose.

Last Jetboat I sold, the bloke took it down the cascade & rang me when he got back asking if I knew what the paint colours/codes were

I understand you need to ask the local cocky for permission to get access for launching.
Shut up, get out & start pushing!

Ah yes the way he drives I suspect, went thru some trees! you'll be fine.

A mate had a ballot block up the cascade a few years ago & they boated it no worries.

Downstream of the put in is easy boating. Upstream is alright but will get you to the woodhen only. I know the place like the back of my hand. Plenty of deer thru the whole river and it will be really friggin busy due to whitebaiting at least till the 15th nov. I have a couple of good pozzies to put a net as well.

All my gear is handy as well
