Unfortunately my brother wont let be borrow his nicely restored one.
Bro they are hard as nails you'll never kill an old one, would make a sweet hunting rig, light enough to lift over logs etc.
Edit, that video is all shit my first ever farm bike was one, it then progressed into my first moto x bike to be fair big jumps where punishing from memory but still doable!

Just put new tyres on mine today.
Be sure to get the dual ratio gearbox one.
I've had 2. They are great but take care not to pick up sticks etc that can get jammed into bottom of the gearcase. I loaned my bike and it came back with a big hole and it cost me near enough to $800 to repair.
The only problem is they want good coin for good ones.
I have had two.
Also worked for a sheep and beef guy who had them.
They are quiet,centrifugal clutch is good for spotlighting rabbits etc.
Can carry 2 jokers and a reasonable size hind.
I had one in Australia, Great racks or strapping gear to. My first bike was a ct110 and it was bloody brilliant. Buzzed along at 80kms on the road and would get me right to the surf through the sand dune and all.. Im sure it would be a good little bike to run huntng.
what ever you get , gear it so it just plonks along nicely and goes straight up a damn near 90 degree hill

Ignore the video. If they wanted an XR the stupid plonkers should have started with an XR. For what a CT is designed to do it would be ideal for you. You dont buy tractors to race on the weekend, just like you dont buy a sedan to drag a farm implement. The CT will do the job well and will keep doing the job well after you give up....
As he said, he wanted the slow, light weight, low gearing and carrying space of the CT, but wanted a little more suspension travel for the rough ground and older body; something I can attest to. The videos if you look at the others in the series still shows what the basic bike is capable of for hunting though.
I use a Sherco 290 a lot, extremely powerful, can idle along no sweat and has a great cruising speed in top gear.
Splatshop in the UK have great prices on bike bits.

I watched the video and initially thought he had created something like an AG100 with a relocated fuel tank but it also had the benefits of the twist and go with both brakes as hand levers. The low range is a nice option so guess it is far better than a manual bike.

Mint, cheers. Gonna get one and stick a tray and shit on the back. Should be light enough to go over fences etc.
I used to try to get my DRZ out into the bush but I'm pretty short so as soon as I hit technical stuff it was a game of luck. Now I have a g650gs and I can go slower with my feet out but the bike is just too heavy to go anywhere better than a quad track. I am yet to find a bike I can use for both road and trail that matches my height. Maybe I'm meant to have 2.
Surprised those CT110 guys didnt just use an xr200, still a cool effort and look like they work well. The 1990 on xr200's had low seat height, they lack a centrifical clutch, but six speed and with a big rear cog will climb anything and suspension would be a hair better. I run an XR250 and used to use a 200, The 250 is a tad heavy but more comfy in rough tussocky shit, I added a fork brace, made a huge improvement to the handling. I always liked the look of these FX Bikes Mountain Moto developed in chch? The early ones were 110cc I think with a 110 honda low ratio set up they would be pretty capable, 60kgs is half the weight of an xr250, a xr200 is about 100kg

The sherco don't look like it would be too comfy for a lengthy ride over rutted wet tracks with 30 kg of boned out donk meat and gear in the back pack, with straps loosened so the seat takes the weight, plus rifle and a daypack full of gear balanced on the tank which all going well is the trip out

Do it, they are a awesome bike. My brother had one, we put a large knobbly tyre on the back and extended the rear shocks to suit. He folded it in half and got himself stuck while jumping it in and out of a old silage pit, straighten it out and kept riding, then sold it all bashed up and bent for $200 to a mate.
All this talk of CT's makes me want to buy one
we had the earlier 90 cc back in 1975 with NZFS now does this 110 have the high and low gear box- that really made the 90 - to be able to change to low range we had loads on that poor old honda - regularly had 3 up on it--I have had 3 deer on it - faults lack of clearance with both front and rear Tyres and mud guards - very steep front fork rake can be nasty on gravel roads - brilliant motor -
