Thread: diesel manifold cleaner

has anyone used one? like liquid moly etc. Does it work?
bloody triton manifold looks like a coal mine from the egr (now turned off)

You have to remove the manifold and get the carbon/soot out manually

Loose Carbon stuck between a valve and seat is nasty $$$$$$ on a Diesel engine if you expect the engine to digest that gunk

After cleaning disconnect the egr valve or run the engine breather into a catch can, either will stop the reinfestation of that black power robbing goop

Mobil delo esp engine oil is designed especially to stop oil vapour and exhaust gas accumulations.

i turned it electronically. so didnt need to modify or blank off the valve

Rip it off and get some oven cleaner and a water blaster into it.

Hire one of these plenty looking for residency in Auckland

Blast with crushed walnut shells?

Good candidate for Soda Cleaning. Mate who restores Ducatis uses it to clean carb bodies, cylinder cooling fins etc. Very effective.

If it's blocked up none of the sprays will work they are a preventive not a fix ie every service
Currently using the liquid moly at work, slowly turns it to oil, but won't soak through thick stuff
