There's a comprehensive thread on this very subject buried somewhere in the transport section. Use the search function and go find it.

short distance maybe, if go beyond 30km....and be cautious with the battery at home, do `t put it inside, keep it away from your home for at least 5 meters. The battery is a time bomb, only weeks ago a 34 floors building in China caught on fire only because an e-bike, 15 dead, 55 in hospital and some in critical conditions. As the official report shown that on average 8.8 e-vehicles got spontaneous combustion in China everyday. Once it stat to burn, the only thing you can do is sitting there enjoy the fireworks.

My mate and I use our enduro e-bikes, it's pretty good but if you haven't got one already and you just want to use it for hunting I'd recommend an electric off road dirt bike instead such as the suron mentioned above, you will save a lot of energy and be able to switch to your rifle a lot faster, and carry more gear

I've just clocked over 2500k on my ebike, I'll second what folks above said.
If you're using the motor as a supplement to your own sweat they're great, if you're using it as an electric motorcycle the range is not the best.

Best use I've found is to chuck your pack and meat on it and walk beside it, using the throttle to help with the hills viet cong style.
