    Failed EV companies growing

    I see Ubco (2 wheeler electric bike) and now Aquabike have gone into receivership. Millions down the gurgler. A bunch of owners with no recourse for parts, spare batteries etc.

    Certainly makes a strong case for staying with ICE engines in dirt bikes and outboards for a while yet.

    They are pushing sealed lead acid powered scooters now due to the issues with lithium batteries...

    Sounds like they will be supplying parts etc out of one of the parent companies, from the articles I read on it it would seem a foreign investor might have pulled back. From the orders they were talking about it didn't seem like the company was not viable, so it is a bit of a shame that this has happened.

    But to be fair it isn't just happening in EV companies, the solar outfit that just got shut down with the investment company retrenching is another example.
